I wanted a smallish backpack that would pack small enough to fit into a big case for flights etc, and that was waterproof and comfortable enough for hiking. It did just this, and also worked as a deck bag! It survived hours of heavy rain, and all stayed dry inside.
I was looking for a lightweight backpack that wasn’t too bulky but would keep my kit dry on swim/walks and had the capacity for everything I needed to take. This is a perfect size for days out. It’s comfortable to wear and distributes the weight of wet gear well. Bit pricier than other makes, but it’s made well and will probably last me for years so worth the outlay. It’s my first Red purchase, but won’t be my last.
It’s my favourite backpack, and not just for swim kit usage, as I use it on walks too. Think it’s a bit expensive though for what it is.
