SUP at Twin Lakes, Connecticut
Written by Jess Davies /
Twin Lakes in Salisbury CT is a place that does not feel like Connecticut. Nestled in the southern Berkshires, Twin Lakes offers all the views and summer vibes. You can see the summit of Bear Mountain ( the tallest peak in CT) along the Taconic Ridge.
I love Twin Lakes for the clear water, Isabella Island with the old stone light tower, and the way the moon rises over the hills.
Highlights
Best time to paddle is mid week to miss the boat traffic and also in the fall for epic leaf peeping. Don’t miss the secret passage beneath 2 bridges to the second lake. Definitely catch the sunset and the moonrise!
